Designed to get the most out of today’s gaming hardware, Diablo II: Resurrected supports screen resolutions up to 4K. It also includes a completely re-engineered Dolby Surround 7.1 sound so gamers don’t miss a single terrible scream. All 27 minutes of videos from the original game have also been recreated with stunning HD visuals. While a lot of work has been done to bring Diablo II into the modern era, maintaining the authenticity of the experience is paramount. The original game engine continues to work behind the scenes, doing the same calculations and game logic as in 2000.
“Diablo II: Resurrected will bring one of our most beloved games to a new audience,” said Jane O’Neill, co-leader of Blizzard Entertainment. “It has been an honor for Vicarious Visions to collaborate with Blizzard and form the team that breathed new life into this classic. Everyone involved was motivated by the commitment to fairness of players’ expectations, and I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished.”
By progressing across platforms, players can log into their Battle.net account on whatever system they purchased the game on to access their characters and loot items. To help bring Diablo II to more players than ever before, this enhanced version includes a variety of accessibility and quality of life options. It allows players to fine-tune the individual experience without compromising the classic gameplay. Accessibility improvements include:
– Compatibility with controls on all platforms
– Adjust font size, color blindness modes and readability options
– Feeling wheel to simplify communication
– Adjust the volume on several audio channels
– Automatic gold collecting
– Large and common fund
Extensive keybinding options, including a customizable shortcut to “interact” on controls, and much moreDiablo II: Resurrected features seven distinct classes of playable characters. Amazon, Barbarian, Necromancer, Paladin, and Mage: each offers rich and varied gameplay. The priest and the lord of destruction are back too, fierce and elusive than ever. New 3D heroes have upgraded armor, clothing, skin texture, animations, and more. The entire game has gone through massive graphic overhauls, so Diablo II Sanctuary veterans will see it in more detail than ever, like wearing eyeglasses for the first time. Despite its updating, Diablo II: The revived characters, monsters, and environments continue to capture the dark atmosphere that Diablo fans remember. It’s also easy to relive those memories. It is possible to switch between modern 3D graphics and the original 2D experience with the push of a button.
Diablo II: Resurrected is now available as a standalone experience or as part of the Diablo Prime Evil Collection, which includes:
