RInato Godinho has informed his over 91k followers that he will be closing his Instagram account.
On Friday, July 26, the actor shared a message on social media announcing his decision.
“Almost everything in life requires the skill of the wanderer not to fall on one side or the other. And that is what I will try to do now: not to be rash or careless,” he began.
“I have decided to close my Instagram account and continue my life away from social media. Before I leave and close the door, I want to say a word to everyone who is interested in my work and other things that I have found relevant or interesting, and to the brands that I have associated with during this time, thanks to Óbvio (digital agency), for understanding me so well,” he added.
“Let the world continue to have parents watching their children, lovers holding hands and dreaming, friends racing bikes, loners reading books in urban meadows—in short, human beings free from the ever-present algorithms that manipulate us,” he continued. “Whether we realize it or not, free will is a trap, and it can never be one.”

“Let us not lose this unique tool,” he finally wrote, “nor let ourselves be fooled by the simulation of consciousness, which, with intelligence, becomes a monstrous seductive force. I hope I don’t fall off the wire. Thank you.”
