Xiaomi is preparing to launch the global Redmi Note 11 series on January 26. The Redmi Note 11 series is not new, after all the company revealed three smartphones in the country a few months ago. Now, it is preparing to launch the new Redmi Note 11 smartphones in the global market, with support for 4G networks and 5G network.
Today, the Redmi Note 11 has been talked about a lot as some of its specifications have been revealed. Details include the design of the smartphone as well as its key specifications. Contrary to previous claims that hinted at the Helio G96 SoC, it appears that at least this variant will pack a Snapdragon 680 SoC.
Redmi Note 11 specifications
The Redmi Note 11 will arrive as a perfect sequel to the Redmi Note 10. After all, it was last year’s model Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 SoC. These chipsets are expected to disappear along with the smartphone amid the semiconductor industry crisis. Now, both will be replaced by the latest smartphone and Snapdragon 680 SoC. For those who don’t know, this chipset uses the most advanced 6nm architecture that Qualcomm unveiled last year. The GPU is Adreno 619 which can also be found in chips like Snapdragon 730 and 732G.
Redmi Note 11 will come with an accessory Monitor 6.4 inches Full HD + AMOLED. This time, Xiaomi will combine AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate. This was one of the features that was missing from last year’s model. The panel will come with a central hole punch for the 13MP front unit. Going back, we have a quad camera. The primary snapper, as confirmed by leaked renders, is a 50MP unit. The device will also come with an 8MP ultrawide camera, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP shooter.
According to Yogesh Brar, the phone will also have a bundle drums 5000mAh with support for 33W fast charging. In terms of software, will run Android 11 with MIUI 13 Running at the top. This is perhaps the biggest disappointment on the device. It is clear that Xiaomi was not able to equip these smartphones with Android 12. We expect this update to come in the next few months after launch.
The base model will have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Fortunately, this variant will have a micro SD card slot for further memory expansion. This could be in favor of Redmi in some countries like India. After all, one of its biggest competitors – Realme – Redmi Note 11 is also dropping microSD support in the Realme 9 series. There will also be a variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We assume that Xiaomi will also bring some kind of virtual RAM feature to these devices.
We also expect stereo speakers on this device, perhaps with JBL tweaks like the Chinese variants.
