According to Fightful Select and WrestlingNews, WWE has made several changes to its recent plans heading into WrestleMania 39.
Several changes of plans by the creative team in recent months have been spotted by tabloids, with stars like Becky Lynch, Edge and Ronda Rousey.
Edge vs. Finn Balor A match was planned between the two at the Royal Rumble, which was changed due to the veteran’s schedule. In this way, WWE allegedly postponed this duel to WrestleMania 39, where it should be “demon” Finn Balor against Edge in a Hell in a Cell Match.
Becky Lynch vs. Bayley – The Steel Cage match between the two contenders on Raw XXX in January was official, which ended up not taking place due to time constraints. This fight ended, but already in February, where Lita appeared. It seems like this was a roundabout way to prolong this feud, giving new life to the fact that Becky Lynch and Lita are looking to win the Damage CTRL Women’s Tag Team Championships on the next Raw.
Raquel Rodriguez vs. Ronda Rousey – Ronda Rousey successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Raquel Rodriguez on SmackDown in December. However, the original plans for this match were to only take place at the Royal Rumble. WWE chose to end the rivalry early, and took the opportunity to bring Charlotte Flair back into the company, winning the title from Ronda Rousey.
