On Monday, the Spanish League issued new maximum salary limits for teams, which were updated in February, where Real Madrid and Barcelona are kings and princes.

According to the official document published by the authority today, Real Madrid maintained the same salary cap of 683.4 million euros, while Barcelona reduced it by about 8 million euros compared to the last update (September 2022), i.e. 656.4 million euros from 648.8 million euros. €.

The two great Spanish giants are backed by more than double the salary cap of the third team with the highest budget for this purpose, Atlético de Madrid, despite the fact that the Colchoneros have also reduced this amount compared to the September report (from €341m to €315.8m).

Among the top 5 teams with the highest salary cap in La Liga, there is also Sevilla, which decreased from 199.8 million euros to 191.3 million euros, and Farreal, who maintained the same value compared to the last update in September 2022, 151.2 million euros. Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao are the other two teams that have crossed hundreds of millions (€134.1m and €127.1m, respectively, the two values ​​that remained the same compared to last September’s values).

In total, clubs participating in La Liga can spend a maximum of 3 billion euros on player salaries during the current season.
