Rafael Alves Rocha is the new Director General of CIP and intends to promote a “healthy economic ecosystem” – Executive Summary

Rafael Alves Rocha is the new Director General of CIP – Confederação Empresarial de Portugal. The responsible person will aim to build, structure and unify an administrative, regulatory, legislative and tax context that helps and stops hindering the development of business activities.

After four years in the service of Corticeira Amorim, with responsibilities in the areas of strategic communication, corporate relations and corporate projects, and after 18 years at ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, Rafael Alves Rocha aims to promote a “healthy economic ecosystem”.

During his career he has coordinated integrated communications projects in companies such as Compta, Rádio Popular, Ambisig, Ventilaqua or ISA. At the same time, he was involved in the Portuguese fashion remodeling business through Fashion Portugal.

“I am excited about the opportunity to participate in a real project to transform Portuguese society that aims to recreate an economy of greater value, with better incomes for all, that is, with a more equitable sharing of the wealth produced,” says Rafael Alves Rocha.

The official also highlights that they will seek dialogue in all circumstances, seek to build broad consensus and, when appropriate, conduct negotiations outside of working hours.

CIP states that it will seek to develop structures capable of favoring companies’ export ambition, cooperating in the selection of sustainable practices and even reflecting on productive and flexible strategies are part of the work that will be carried out now and over the next few years.

They affirmed that “Confederação Empresarial de Portugal will become a data-driven organization capable of providing businesses, on a single platform, with a powerful source of data capable of helping support any rational business decision.”
