Queen Máxima of the Netherlands was forced to make a last-minute change to the dress she wore to the coronation of King Charles III on May 6.
According to the journalist specialized in Royal houses Josine Droogendijk, and with the brand Jan Taminiau, the Queen’s white dress of Argentine origin was initially thought to be a long dress, as ancient protocols required. And everything was ready to be used. However, Queen Máxima arrived at Westminster Abbey in a day dress.

The theme of the dress may have been desired by King Carlos III and Queen Camilla, who wanted guests to dress more casually, in an effort to modernize the royal house.
