During the Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm Technologies announced a collaboration with Mistral AI to bring Mistral AI's new next-generation generative AI models, Ministral 3B and Ministral 8B, to devices running the Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, Snapdragon Cockpit Elite, and Snapdragon Ride Elite. Mistral AI's Mistral 3B and Mini 8B models are compact yet powerful, making them ideal for operation on devices such as smartphones, vehicles, PCs, and more. Running generative AI on devices offers numerous benefits, including greater privacy, lower latency, reliability, cost savings, and energy efficiency.
The two companies are collaborating to bring Ministral 3B and Ministral 8B to developers soon through the Qualcomm AI Hub. Developers can currently access other popular Mistral AI models on Qualcomm AI Hub, including Mistral 7B v0.3, enabling developers and users to take advantage of Mistral AI's advanced capabilities.
