ShA power outage in the Manchester Airport area is affecting all flights, causing delays and cancellations.
The outage affected the airport and several nearby buildings. According to Sky News, power has already been restored, but the impact is expected to affect services throughout the day.
The airport announced on social media that the problem would lead to the delay or cancellation of “a large number of flights, especially in Terminals 1 and 2.”
The same memo also said: “Passengers flying today from Terminals 1 and 2 should contact their airlines before proceeding to the airport.” “Passengers traveling from Terminal 3 should proceed to the airport as usual unless the airline advises otherwise, but they may be affected by delays.”
The airport also apologizes for any inconvenience and promises to restore normal operation as soon as possible.
