As the first night of WrestleMania 39 kicks off, we’re taking stock of some of the rumors that have been circulating in the past few hours.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, the Andre the Giant Battle Royal trophy has been moved from the Crypto.com Arena, where the last SmackDown took place, to SoFi Arena, where WrestleMania 39 is taking place.
In addition, it is said that the trophy will be used during the fighter’s entry, so although it has not been announced, it is expected that Bobby Lashley will be present at this year’s big event, where he is promising.
The journalist also noted that Bad Bunny is scheduled to do commentary at WrestleMania 39, so he could be involved in the match between Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio tonight.
Remember that rapper would be hosts From Backlash in Puerto Rico on May 6th, he was directed to return to the WWE ring.
Another name is Randy Orton, after it was reported several times that he may (or may not) return in the coming days.
Fightful notes that The Viper has told some people his career isn’t over yet, but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has indicated that the fighter isn’t fit to come back just yet.
It’s also said that even though “Stone Cold” Steve Austin doesn’t have anything concrete scheduled at WrestleMania 39, the idea of him continuing to appear at the event is “gaining steam” behind the scenes.
Finally, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reports that Matt Cardona is in Los Angeles for WrestleMania 39, but it may only be in support of Chelsea Green, who will be fighting in the big event.
Do you think any of these names will make their presence felt at WrestleMania 39 this weekend?
