Google and Apple have almost absolute control over the two largest mobile app platforms.  However, fortunately, there are currently alternative platforms as well, but the most popular is for Android devices. 
Aptoide is a Portuguese app store aimed at Android.  The road was not always easy, especially since in the past the Aptoide project had to file a complaint against the giant Google company with the European Commission due to anti-competitive practices that made it difficult to establish this store.
Now the news is different!  The Portuguese game store will be available for iOS devices.  a Aptoide will be available for iOS    from June 6, 2024. 

From what we know, initially this game store for iOS will only be available to users who have an invite.  According to what was revealed, there are already more than 20,000 users waiting and after the opening of the App Store, between 500 and 1,000 “sites” will be opened daily.
