Born in Coimbra, Critical Software celebrates its 25th anniversary this week. It has offices around the world, in Portugal namely Coimbra, Tomar, Vila Real, Porto, Lisbon and Viseu, in the United Kingdom in Southampton and in Germany in Munich. There are already more than 1,200 employees distributed throughout these locations and responsible for software development in various industries.
From space, with the first contract signed in 1998 with NASA, to current sectors, such as e-commerce. To celebrate this date, Critical Software is promoting internal and external initiatives in order to deliver unique experiences for its employees.
“What an amazing road we’ve been down,” says Gonzalo Cuadros, Chairman of the Board of Critical Software. It is very good to have the privilege of growing up with so many smart, generous, adventurous and loyal people. There are many emotions mixed in us today, but I think there is one word that I think sums it up well: gratitude. Gratitude is the motto of our 25-year celebration, and it’s no accident. Gratitude for the much we receive will be the best expression of who we are. Grateful for our past, we now have our eyes fixed on the future.”
Critical Software was the first Portuguese technology company to obtain a B Corp certification and is part of organizations that believe that society’s challenges are also corporate challenges and that diversity, equality, employment, community inclusion and environmental management should be seen as priorities.
