The City of Aracaju informs, through the Municipal Health Department (SMS), that as of next Monday, the 6th, the Grebal Syndrome Care Center, located in the Coroa do Mio neighborhood, will be closed to services due to a decrease in research.

The municipal health secretary, Anieska Barboza, explains that the reason is due to a decrease in the number of patients seeking care due to respiratory problems. In October, for example, the average daily attendance was 11 people, and during the hours only one patient came to the unit.

“We are suspending the activities of the Influenza Syndrome Care Center due to a decrease in the number of people being served. As Covid vaccination coverage progresses, people are not developing conditions where they need care in the unit. Therefore, people who have not yet completed the vaccination schedule are looking for one of the health units Our family to get vaccinated and help control the disease,” points out Vanessa.

According to the director, care for influenza syndromes will continue in family health units. “Anyone with symptoms of flu, cold or fever, for example, can seek out one of our units to welcome them and take a Covid test, as well as get guidance from health professionals,” he concludes.
