Pedro Porro admitted in an interview with the newspaper “AS” that he spent the best years of his career at Sporting. And the Spanish player, who was sold by the Lions to Tottenham in January of this year, does not forget his passage through Alvaladi, where he arrived in 2020, initially on loan from Manchester City.

“The Premier League is a very big competition, but I have good memories of all the tournaments I’ve been through. La Liga, where I started in professional football, with Girona, and Portugal, where I enjoyed the best years of my career, became famous. I became a champion in my first year at Sporting and I’ve won a lot of trophies. I’ve been in the Premier League for a short time, but I like it because it’s the best league in the world,” explained the 23-year-old defender.

Boro recalled his adaptation to England: “It’s a nice experience, but a bit difficult for me. Coming to a new country and a different league takes time to adapt, but I’m very satisfied. Because of the language. Eric Dier helped me. He passed Sporting and he knows Portuguese. Now I have to I keep giving everything and moving forward.”

On the other hand, the player admitted that what impressed him most in England was the “pacing of the match”. “There is no rest. Everything is so intense, physical and so fast that you can’t be distracted for a second. PM requires absolute focus.”
