Las Vegas Animal Protection is now investigating who was behind the killing of Peacock Pete.

Neighbor Felicity Carter wrote that she found the beloved bird on Monday perched on a fence with an arrow sticking out of its feathers. AP news agency.

She wrapped Pete in a blanket and took him to a vet who specializes in exotic animals.

The vet tried to treat him and even investigated the possibility of a blood transfusion from another peacock, but was unable to save the bird’s life. It also became clear at the vet that Pete had been hurt twice – not just once.

“I don’t understand why anyone would do something like this,” Carter says.

Everyone just wants to know who did this. We want justice for Beth.

The city’s animal protection is now investigating the peacock’s death. In Las Vegas, animal cruelty can be punished with up to six months in prison and a fine of $1,000, which means more than 10,000 crowns.

Peacock belongs to a resident of a small neighborhood in Las Vegas, but is considered the pet of the entire neighborhood.

Many neighbors now say they are completely devastated. They loved feeding Pete berries, and found safety in the fact that a peacock was always around the corner – whether relaxing in someone’s garden or running after a garbage truck, the news agency wrote.

– Says Carter: – Pete will always be remembered for his unique personality.

The peacock was often seen mirroring itself in its shining image and fluffing its feathers.
