Paris travel tips: – Prefer cold white wine, salty potato chips and ice cubes

In Paris, you opt for atmospheric sidewalk cafés rather than fine dining at fancy restaurants – yes, as long as they include dry white wine, salty potato chips and ice cubes.

Preferred airline

I try to book Kinder Egg – the best, cheapest and fastest – regardless of the company. To the dismay of some, this is always the first flight. I'm a morning person and love making the most of the day, whether I'm traveling on business or on vacation.

Travel uniform

Tights, boots, long shirt, leather jacket, hoodie and cashmere hat, layer upon layer – all black. In the winter, I wear fur clothes I designed myself that double as a blanket when it's cold on the plane. After

Package strategy

I check the weather forecast and pack a few days in advance. I carry sunglasses, a Mac, a swimsuit, and nicer clothes in my bag in case the bag gets lost. I wrap socks in shoes, fold them (not roll them), sort them by color and pack clothes that can be combined, and clothes from my own collections. You never know who you will meet on your way.

Advice advice

I try to adapt to the country and give more when it's good. Positive comments are also important. I tipped the hotel staff for homemade Studio 54 silver earrings at Soho House after complimenting the staff. It was successful.

Best hotel

The Arts in Barcelona offers a very good breakfast buffet, good service, nice pool and beach location. Soho House in Berlin is also at the top of the list. The rooms aren't particularly exciting, but the concept and rooftop terrace with pool are worth it.

Best practical travel advice

If you can manage with carry-on luggage, the journey and arrival will be easier. You need less than you think, whether you're traveling for a long weekend or a week. Packing list recommended. Choose a destination of your choice, and something that gives you energy, but does not drain you of energy. If I'm going to a big city, a swimming pool or close proximity to the sea is the priority. Swimwear is always included.

An indispensable tool when traveling

Moving. Half of life and all of work lies in that arena. Even if I'm on vacation, I check the sales report from the concept store via Zettle, and I can log in to Teams and connect to the Internet anywhere, anytime. I also manage PR for Envelope1976 and update social media 7 days a week.

Favorite shopping

I love the vintage shops in Paris and the little specialty shops and flea markets I randomly stumble upon. When you're not looking for something special, you find treasures.

Good places to eat

Perruche in Paris has a rooftop terrace, views, good mojitos, and lovely ceviche. Otherwise, La Banquette in the Marais is a lunch favorite with plenty of fresh vegetables on the menu.

Mood and People are watching More important than the menu – as long as there is dry white wine, salty potato chips and a glass of ice cubes.
