sIt appears that “One Piece” is still a huge hit with Netflix subscribers. The series, an adaptation of the Japanese comic by Eiichiro Oda that was previously adapted for animation, appears to have improved its debut figures.
It is worth noting that in the first three days after its premiere last Thursday, August 31, “One Piece” managed to “displace” the fourth season of “Stranger Things” and “Wednesday” by reaching the “rankings” of the most watched series. It has been watched in 84 different countries. After dropping slightly to 82 countries on Monday the Fourth, FlixPatrol reports that One Piece may be the most-watched series in 86 countries this Tuesday the Fifth and Wednesday the Sixth.
Meanwhile, Netflix has already announced that One Piece has accumulated 18.5 million views and that subscribers to the service have accumulated 140 million hours in the first four days.
Despite these impressive numbers, it’s still not clear if Netflix will renew One Piece for a second season. Perhaps, given the company’s more cautious approach in recent months, the company will certainly have to wait and see how “One Piece” will perform over the next few weeks.
