On the date of Science and Culture Day, November 5, the Amazonas government celebrates the achievements from 2019-2022 to advance science, technology and innovation (ST&I) in the state. Over the past four years, 89 programs, notices, decisions, and public calls in support of science, technology and innovation have been submitted. In all, 6,070 researchers were supported and more than 10,000 projects were supported in both the capital and the countryside, reaching 62 municipalities in Amazonas.

Thanks to the resources of the state treasury invested in the qualification of doctors and masters, Amazonas has reached the number one position in the classification of the National Council of State Institutions for Research Support (Confap) as the state in the country most advanced for masters and doctoral scholarships. The scholarship aims to encourage the development of scientific or technological research projects in basic education. The scholarship value for Basic Education Students, Science and Technology Initiative Junior, has jumped from R$120 (in 2018) to R$150 (in 2019), and in 2022, it increased to R$200.
