On Wednesday, the Portuguese Film Academy announced the death of Nieusa Teixeira. The Foundation expressed its “sadness” over the death of the television, film and theater actress.
The actress participated in many Portuguese series such as “Ganancia” (2001), “Wild Angel” (2002), “Saber Moon” (2003) and “It Could End the World” (2008).
He made his cinematic debut with the film “Trafico” directed by João Botelho in 1998, and later worked with several directors in feature films such as “The Woman Who Believed She Was President of the United States of America” (2003) and “Suicídio Commendado” (2003). 2007), “Fragile(s)” (2007), “Sangue do Meu Sangue” (2011), and “Alice's Story” (2016).
But the films were not only on the big screen, as she was also part of some television films such as “Lost Love” (2000), “The Pythagorean Theorem” (2001), and “M Sunho Adeado” (2012).
On stage, the actress made her debut with the play “Romeo and Juliet – Das entranhas fatales e sob fatis está”, by Jorge M. Fraga, at the Trinidad Theater in 1999.
