Nos, Sonae and BCP give a positive convergence of the Lisbon Stock Exchange – Bolsa

The national stock exchange called the week a positive close, on a day when most of the major European markets also advanced, with the exception of Madrid and London. The PSI rose 0.28% to 5,889.33 points, with nine listed up, five down and two – CTT and REN – ending the day unchanged.

It led the number of gains, rising 3.42% to €3,322. The operator posted its best day in nine months, encouraged by an upward revision of its “price target” by Barclays.

On the positive side, Sonae also marked an increase of 2.55%, down to €0.9255. The market reacted well to the announcement, before the opening of the session, that JD Sports would buy the 30% stake held by Sonae in Iberian Sport Retails for €300m.

What gave strength to PSI was also BCP, which rose by 2.12% to €0.2215. The bank, led by Miguel Maia, followed the positive trend seen in European banks.

Paper mills also closed at a height. Altri rose 0.38%, Semapa rose 0.31% and Navigator rose 0.26%.

Galp, one of the index’s heavyweights, rose 0.05% to 10.8 euros, on a day when oil prices rose more than 1%.

However, PSI suspended the EDP group and Jerónimo Martins. EDP Renováveis decreased by 1.15%, to 17.2 euros, renewing its lowest level since February of last year, while the “mother house” achieved 0.82%, to close at 4.354 euros, with an eight-month minimum.

Owner Pingo Doce lost 0.78%, to €25.48, remaining, however, relatively close to recent historical highs of €26.
