Nobody catches it: Rafael Leao doubles Milan’s win

After the impressive performance in Diego Armando Maradona’s Champions League, Rafael Leão «accused» Milan and scored both winning goals this Sunday, at the San Siro, against Lecce (2-0), in Round 31 of the Italian League.

The Portugal international’s first goal wasn’t even his usual style. After a corner kick, in the 40th minute, Tonali put the ball into the area and Leao rose higher at the second post, to head in the goal.

However, it was already appearing on the record he was used to. The Portuguese winger was unstoppable in his sprints and, entering the final quarter of the game, drove the ball in with speed, having volleyed in a cross that beat Vladimiro Falcon for the second time in the game.

With these two goals, Rafael Leão equals Olivier Giroud as Milan’s top scorer this season. In 41 matches, he has already scored 13 goals, 12 of which are in the league, where he ranks sixth in the list of top scorers, on a par with Kvisha Kvaratskhelia, from Napoli.

This victory allows Milan to return to fifth place, with 56 points, the same balance as Rome, led by Jose Mourinho, who occupies fourth place and has a match to play. Lecce turn is 16th with 28 points.
