Next week will see another, albeit slight, drop in prices. Find out how much you’ll save on deposit

Fuel prices will fall again next week, albeit slightly – for Monday, a decrease is expected, albeit only in 95 gasoline: in the main NOCs, “the development of quotations in euros indicates a decrease in prices of up to 1 percent per liter of 95 gasoline, while diesel will maintain the price recorded” in the past week, an industry source told Multinews.

Another source said the trend is also being repeated at privately-branded service stations – which usually operate next to supermarkets – with “a decrease of €0.01128 in petrol, while diesel will register the same trend but by €0.0104”.

So, after all, filling a tank with 60 liters of gasoline costs 0.6 euros less. In the diesel version, there will be no changes when going to the service station.

After a week of decline in diesel prices – after two weeks of strong increases – this time the price will not change, so it remains above the price of 95 gasoline. According to official data from Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG)On their page, the average price of Simple Petrol 95 is currently 1712 euros per liter. The price of a liter of diesel is 1.822 euros.

The latest fuel bulletin from the European Commission indicates that Portugal has the 15th most expensive gasoline out of the 27 countries in the European Union, even if it is below the European average (1,821.81 euros / liter). Diesel takes 16th place in the European ranking, recording an average of 1,908.87 € / liter.
