With the loss of a large number of subscribers, Netflix is devising several strategies to regain the success it had at other times. Among the new features is a cheaper service plan, supported by ads.

This method, at the moment, is only available in some countries, and involves a monthly fee of $6.99 per month (about 7 euros) to access the service, plus some perks. Content resolution is low quality (720p), some content is not available and user will have to watch commercial spaces.

Now the first trial reports are beginning to come in, filled with complaints and turmoil. According to those who have tried the method, the presence of ads is completely inconsistent.

In some movies, the commercial space appears completely at the beginning, with no further interruptions, other times there are ads at the beginning and middle of the content, and other times there are no ads at all. Users are confused and complain about the inconsistency in the service.

According to the Netflix offer, the user is supposed to see an average of 4 to 5 minutes of ads per hour. But, apparently, what happens is that it is not even possible to advance on average, due to the lack of consistency.

According to reports, each ad is 15-30 seconds long, as announced by the platform, it is possible to pause the commercial space, but do not skip, skip ahead.

At the moment, this method is not yet available in Portugal. But it is expected that over the next few months, Portuguese users will also have access to this option which, if all goes well, will already work more consistently.
