National Science and Technology Week confirms new Olympic Committee lectures

The City of João Pessoa, through the Secretariat of Science and Technology (Secitec), has confirmed two new lectures for the 20th National Week of Science and Technology (SNCT), which will take place from 23 to 25 November, at Espaço Culture José. Linz do Rigaud, in the Tampauzinho district.

The first lecture will be given by the Educational Director of the Secretariat of Education and Culture (Sedec), Clarissa Fernández Vergara, a medalist at the Science Olympiad, who will speak on the topic “Beyond the Medals: Transformation and Impact”. The second session will be delivered by the founder and president of the Alpha Lumen Institute, Noric Aguilera, along with the vice president of the organization, Lucivaldo Silva, who will speak on the topic “The Olympic Games as a technology-mediated educational strategy.”

The lectures are free to all audiences and will be held within the Olympic Committee of the 20th SNCT, on November 25, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The committee was established with the aim of bringing knowledge and discussions on science, education and technology. About the Olympic Committee This year it appeared within the 20th session of SNCT with the aim of discussing with the population the importance of encouraging children and youth to participate in the Olympic Games, as an educational strategy. “It is expected to raise support that will contribute to advancing the process in the state, generating, in an integrated and participatory way, more and better opportunities for young talents from Paraíba to deepen their scientific knowledge and achieve prestigious positions in national and international Olympiads, self-affirmation and empowerment,” Silvio Rossi explained.

The 20th National Science and Technology Week – The 20th edition of João Pessoa’s SNCT will be held from 23 to 25 November, at the Cultural Space José Linz do Rigo, in Tampauzinho.
