nWithin the scope of the two shows, at Coliseu de Lisboa and Multiusos de Guimarães, which will celebrate his 10-year career in 2022, David Carreira gave an intimate interview to TVI’s Jornal das 8.
When asked about the similarities between him and his father, Tony Carrera, from whom he inherited his musical talent, David claims to identify more with his mother’s personality.
“In many things, I am like my mother, I have my mother’s strength and resistance. Mom is a fighter, she has always been and always will be”, says the musician, who recently saw his mother, Fernanda Antunes, and the whole family going through a period of great pain.
However, Father Tony is still a major player in his life. “My dad is my best friend. We have a brutal relationship,” he guarantees.
In December 2020, the Carrera family was hit hard. The youngest daughter of Tony Carrera and Fernanda Antunes, Sarah Carrera, has died at the age of 21 after a tragic car accident.
