MTV EMAs: Diogo Piçarra wins Best Portuguese Act - Showbiz

Musician Diogo Besara won Best Portuguese Acting at the European Music Awards for MTV Television, which also nominated Barbara Tinoco, Nene, Plutonio and Wait Bed Gang.

Canadian Justin Bieber led this year’s nominations, with eight, but BTS were the biggest winners at this year’s MTV European Music Awards.

The Korean group won in the Best Group, Best Pop, Best K-Pop and Biggest Fans categories.

The Best Music Award went to Ed Sheeran for “Bad Habits”. The musician also won the award for best artist.

The “Kiss Me More” theme won a Doja Cat and SZA Award for Best Collaboration. The EMA Award for Best Video was awarded to “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, by American Lil Nas X.

Italians Maneskin, who won the Eurovision Song Contest this year, took home Best Rock, Nicki Minaj for Best Hip-Hop, Colombian Maluma for Best Latino, Britain’s Yungblud for Best Alternative and France’s David Guetta for Best Electronics. .

American rapper Saweetie, who hosted today’s concert, won the New Artist category.

The Best Portuguese Work award, one of the regional categories of awards for which the Portuguese public voted the winner, was awarded to Diogo Piçarra, who competed with Bárbara Tinoco, Nenny, Plutonio and Wet Bed Gang.

The EMA Awards featured performances by among others, Saweetie, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Yungblud, Maluma, Maneskin and Kim Petras.
