On Sunday morning, Monica Cavalcante Alves, 26, was shot dead on a sidewalk in Sao Jose da Tapira, Brazil.
Before the 26-year-old lost her life, she scored one video which is now spreading across the internet, according to Brazilian newspaper O Globo.
The couple must have been on their way home from a party when Cavalcante’s husband Alves became a threat.
Shock bill warns
In the video, the 26-year-old says her husband of ten years has been violent, and that he plans to shoot her.
Just minutes later, she was shot five times in the chest outside a courtroom near the couple’s home.
Her life could not be saved, according to local media reports.

Whoever finds this phone…
In the video circulating on the Internet, Cavalcante Alves says that she has long been subjected to physical and psychological violence by her husband, with whom she has two children.
– He is violent and wants to shoot me, – you say, sighing.
The general physician revealed: – Cunning and cowardly
She also explains that she and her husband were at a party with other family members, and that she is now trying to hide from him.
Tears flow when you talk about what happened.
– My dad told a joke that he didn’t like, unfortunately. stupid joke. Because of the alcohol, he became agitated. He has completely changed. So, whoever finds this cell phone, and I’m dead, was…, she says, before naming her husband.

Cavalcante Alves says she did everything she could for her and her husband to be happy together.
The couple has reportedly had a tumultuous relationship, but they have recently found their way back to each other.
– I’ve tried to be a good wife. A good mother. It does not work. She said it was a very violent relationship.

In the video, Cavalcante Alves has a message for women who experience physical and psychological violence:
– If you experience the same thing, don’t accept it. We deserve to be happy and have peace. It’s not your fault if you encounter this. If I die, I die in peace, knowing that everything worked out on my end.
The murder of Cavalcante Alves joins a growing number of murders of women in Latin America.
Brazilian media refer to her murder as femicide, which is defined as the killing of women and girls – motivated by the fact that they are women.
This is a very widespread phenomenon in Brazil and the rest of Latin America.

Alagoas police confirmed to TNH1 news channel that the 26-year-old was killed, and that they are investigating the case.
They are now searching with lights and lanterns for her husband, who is said to have fled the scene in a car.
The deputy chief of police, Diego Nunes, told the news channel that they do not yet know what the motive behind the killing was.
– For the sake of investigation, we can’t say much now. He says the police took to the streets to find the suspect as quickly as possible.
