Missing in Tenerife: – The wrong Briton found

On June 17, Jay Slater, a 19-year-old Briton, disappeared on the Spanish holiday island of Tenerife.

The search for him has continued since then, but he has not been found yet.

Slater traveled to Tenerife to attend the NRG Music Festival with his friends. After the last day of the festival, he was said to have accompanied two other British men from the festival area.

Call a friend

After missing the bus on his way back, the 19-year-old must have decided to set foot on the 11-hour walk.

A few hours later, he reportedly called one of his friends and told them he was thirsty and lost in the mountains, and his mobile phone only had 1% power.

No one has heard from him since, but last Friday the research team made an unexpected discovery.

They then encountered a 51-year-old man from Scotland in a valley in a hiking area described as unsuitable for travel. The man was described as tired and confused, the British tabloid wrote daily Mail.

– Someone has

Meanwhile, the search for Jay Slater continues. Both his mother, Debbie Duncan, and his ex-girlfriend, Jessica, are convinced that something criminal has happened – that he has simply been kidnapped.

-The area is full of pedestrians and tourists. “Someone could have seen it, but if they didn't, then someone has it,” Jessica tells the Daily Mail.

At the same time, The Mirror wrote that locals were said to have seen someone who looked like Slater, while he was said to be watching an EC match in the city of Santiago del Teide, close to where he disappeared.

A surveillance camera also captured images of someone resembling Slater in the same city.

Violence case from 2021

Police also questioned the two men who were with the 19-year-old before he disappeared, and they are said to have later returned to the UK.

According to the Daily Mail, the police do not rule out that the disappearance is linked to a case dating back to 2021, when Slater was one of eight people who attacked a man with a cleaver, golf clubs and an axe.

He was sentenced to 18 months of community service because of the relationship.
