Microsoft has made an adjustment to conversions from Xbox Live Gold and EA Play to Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate, which means less sign-up time per customer conversion.
The direct conversion of your Live Gold to Game Pass subscription time is over and you’ll now have fewer subscription months when you switch from Live Gold to Game Pass, in either option.
As shared by gamers on Reddit, social networks, and places like ResetEra, the live conversion ratio has increased to 3:2 and according to the example shared by Microsoft, “90 days of Xbox Live Gold or PC Game Pass will convert to 60 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.”
Another example given, for those using Xbox hardware, is the transition from “90 days of Xbox Game Pass for console will convert to 68 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate”. In the case of EA Play, 90 days of EA Play will convert to 30 days of Game Pass Ultimate.
These changes were made on the same day that Xbox Game Pass became more affordable in several regions around the world and are the latest adjustment made by Microsoft due to economic conditions.
