Parana tolls
The meeting that will be held on Tuesday (13), in the Legislative Assembly of Paraná, will discuss what will be the methods of monitoring the tax privileges in Paraná. The meeting was proposed by the coordinator of the parliamentary front, deputy Fabio Oliveira (Podemos) and will include the participation of state and state control bodies.

Against dengue fever
Paraná received 26,630 new doses of dengue vaccine. The vaccines are part of the seventh shipment sent by the Ministry of Health to the state. The new batch will be distributed to 11 of the state's 22 health zones: Paranaguá, Paranave, Foz do Iguaçu, Cascavel, Humorama, Maringá, Apucarana, Londrina and Toledo. Campo Mourão and Ivaipura are receiving the vaccine for the first time.

Prudentópolis celebrates its 118th anniversary on Monday (12). The anniversary celebration coincides with the traditional National Black Bean Festival that takes place in the city from August 9 to 12. To ensure the safety of highway users and the smooth flow of traffic during the event, Via Araucária will provide support to the Federal Highway Police (PRF) at kilometer 262 of the BR 373.

Federal Deputy Zeca Dirceu has called on President Lula to sign in Cruzeiro do Oeste the work order for the paving of the last 38 kilometers and other small parts of the Estrada Boiadeira (BR-487) in northwestern Paraná. Minister Renan Filho (Transport) should be present at the signing. The date still depends on Lula's schedule, but it should be done between August and September.

The National Executive of the PMB party issued a notice stating that journalist Cristina Graimel will not be the party's candidate in the race for mayor of Curitiba. Cristina Graimel, who had presented herself as the party's candidate for mayor of the city, received great acclaim on Monday (5) at a conference. Minister Raul Araújo, of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, denied on Thursday (8) the judicial order to recover the PMB directory in Paraná and Curitiba. The decision, which is still provisional, puts a question mark on the journalist's prior candidacy for mayor of Curitiba in the October elections.

The Government of Paraná has released the general preliminary classification of candidates who have taken the General Examination of the Executive Power. The result can be seen in both notes: general classification and classification by region/location/position. After this stage, the general classification and the approval of the competition will be published. According to the notice, the approved must wait for the call and then the appointment process will take place.

SOS Vote
SOS Voto, a hotline set up to receive reports of falsehoods and misinformation about the election process on social media, is now available. The tool can be accessed by dialing 1491. The SOS Voto service operates Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the capacity to respond to up to a thousand calls per day. The service is provided by TSE staff specially trained to receive complaints.

The STF elected Minister Carmen Lucia for another two years as an active member of the TSE. The current chairman of the TSE, Carme Lucia, will lead the October elections. The Turkish Supreme Court consists of seven members: three from the Special Court of Justice, two from Syrians for Truth and Justice, and two from the Jurists category – lawyers with notable legal knowledge and suitability. The term of office is two years, and reappointment is prohibited after two consecutive financial terms. Members of the Supreme Court of Justice serve as the president and vice president of the Supreme Electoral Court, while members of the Electoral Justice Court serve as the president of the General Inspectorate of Electoral Justice.

Abortion in STF
The Supreme Court formed a majority to reject the appeal filed by the National Union of Brazilian Bishops (CNBB) seeking to overturn the vote of then-Minister Rosa Weber in the process discussing the decriminalization of abortion up to twelve weeks of pregnancy. Before her retirement, the minister voted in the process to approve the request, fulfilling her commitment to women's rights entities.

The government expelled Nicaragua's ambassador to Brasilia, Fulvia Patricia Castro. This action was in response to the expulsion by Daniel Ortega's government of the Brazilian ambassador to Managua, Breno de Sousa. Relations between Lula and Ortega, which had been strained until then, cooled after Lula tried to intervene to secure the release of Catholic Bishop Rolando José Álvarez, who had spent more than 500 days in prison.
