Few companies stay away from the effects of AI and what it brings. Meta and Mark Zuckerberg have already warned about the company’s interest, but now everything seems to be clearer. Meta will bring AI to WhatsApp and Messenger.
Meta will also bet on artificial intelligence
Mark Zuckerberg, head of Meta, revealed that the company is creating a suite of high-level products to elevate the work done by AI tools, while trying to keep up with a real race in AI among big tech companies.
In a Facebook post, Mark Zuckerberg said the new group will be made up of teams from across the company. These must run on Generative AI, the technology that supports ChatGPT. It will focus on building experiences around this technology across all Meta products, ranging from creative and expressive tools.
WhatsApp and Messenger will be the first to receive
In the long term, Meta wants to focus on developing AI characters that can help people in a variety of ways. These AI features could include new Instagram filters, as well as chat tools in WhatsApp and Messenger, Mark Zuckerberg revealed.
These novelties may not be limited to Meta products. From what is known, just as users of services should receive this news with open arms, Meta could end up offering these resources to sales and customer support companies as well.
Mark Zuckerberg has acknowledged the potential problems
Although it seems something simple and even natural, this novelty brings some risks. Last year, Meta publicly launched an AI chatbot called "BlenderBot 3". The experience didn't go well, as it took a while for the chatbot to naturally start making offensive comments.
After completing his Facebook post, Mark Zuckerberg revealed what he hopes to achieve and how he will do it:We have a lot of groundwork to do before we really get to future experiences, but I'm excited about all the new things we'll build along the way.".
