Meghan Markle paid tribute to Princess Diana, wearing a Dior bag and a Cartier watch.
The Duchess of Sussex arrived at the Global Live Citizen event in New York with accessories that caught the attention of royal fans.
Prince Harry’s wife honored Diana with a Christian Dior Lady de Light purse, which costs around 4,000 euros.
Originally called “Chouchou,” Lady Dior changed her name in 1996 after Diana was seen repeatedly wearing the piece.
The square wallet was a gift from the First Lady of France in September 1995, at the opening of the Paul Cézanne retrospective at the Grand Palais in Paris. At that time, the model was not for sale to the public.
It wasn’t long before Diana began matching her black purse with many of her outfits, including a white Versace suit she wore on a trip to Argentina on November 26, 1995.
The princess admitted that the piece “fits her well,” and ordered another dark blue to match her eye color.
Diana has worn the €21,000 Cartier Tank Frances gold watch on several occasions, including a 1997 visit to the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu temple in London.
