The goal is to vaccinate at least 95% of the public, which equates to 12.3 million children.
Health workers will also be called to update the vaccination status. For this audience, the ministry does not have a minimum target coverage. The goal is to update late doses and protect this group at greatest risk of disease.
How will it work?
The measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps, and rubella, can be given together with the influenza vaccine, which protects against influenza.
Simultaneous vaccination, which is performed in the same health service visit, is to reduce the chances of missed vaccination. Recommendation from the National Immunization Program.
Check the calendar:
From 4 April to 2 May: vaccination of health workers – with the first stage of influenza vaccination;
From May 3 to June 3: Measles vaccination for children older than six months and less than 5 years (4 years, 11 months and 29 days) – along with the second phase of influenza vaccination.
