McKinsey installs new center in Portugal, with plans to hire 300 people

McKinsey opened its third customer support center in the European market. Located in the company’s offices in central Lisbon, this center will provide support to clients in the Portuguese market and in the EMEA (EMEA) region, in areas such as digital and analytics, corporate strategy and finance, sustainability or marketing and operations.

The consultant has already installed such hubs in Brussels, Belgium, and Wroclaw, Poland. The company explains that it intends to “employ about 300 people by the end of 2025” for this expansion of the operation here. The consultant will look for profiles with “high level of expertise” in areas such as advanced analytics, software and data engineering and product management.

“We want to position ourselves as an engine of innovation, by creating new knowledge and capabilities for collaborating with our customers, characteristics that distinguish the McKinsey team,” explains Duarte Braga, Managing Director of McKinsey Iberia. “Our value proposition stems from diverse local skills, an entrepreneurial culture, connection to a global network, and partnerships with startups, industry practitioners, and world-renowned academic institutions.”

“Lisbon brings together a set of attributes that seemed ideal for the location of a new innovation center for the company. It is a very attractive city for multilingual talent and is recognized as a rapidly growing center for technology and business services,” justifies the same official.
