North American representatives Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have a great friendship off the big screen and have now revealed that they could be brothers.

According to the American newspaper Los Angeles Times, the discovery was made when both of them were on vacation with their families in Greece. McConaughey revealed on the ‘Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa’ podcast that the mom said she knew Woody Harrelson’s dad. McConaughey pointed out that the mother carried the word I know when she said it.

“You know, where do I start and where does it end, where does it start and where does it end, it’s always been a blurred line,” McConaughey said. “And that’s part of our marital relationship, right? My kids call him Uncle Woody. His kids call me Uncle Matthew. They see pictures of us and my family thinks a lot of his pictures are of me. They think a lot of pictures of me are him,” he says on the podcast.

The actors learned that Woody Harrelson’s father was on leave from work at the same time that McConaughey’s mother and father were separating for the second time. There are also receipts from places McConaughey’s mother was frequenting at the time in Texas where she may have met and met Harrelson’s father.

On the podcast, McConaughey was asked if they actually did a DNA test and the actor revealed that Harrelson was excited about the idea, but not so much himself. McConaughey asked, “Wait a minute, are you trying to tell me my dad might not be my dad after 53 years of believing it?”
