Matt Cardona breathes new life into his career since leaving WWE In April 2020, having already won the most important titles in NWA, GCW and wrestling effect.
However, despite not considering a return to the company, former Zack Ryder said in an interview with Metro that he would not hesitate to take a call from triple H:
I’m not trying to get back into WWE, but I’d be lying if I said I never wanted to enjoy my WrestleMania moment again, or that I never wanted to wrestle at Madison Square Garden again – of course I will.
If Triple H calls me now, if I get it from 203 – that’s the area code for Stamford, Connecticut – of course I’ll answer. But for now, I focus on being the best I can be, having as much fun as possible, and making as much money as possible.
The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion also commented on whether he plans to win a world title in WWE:
Right now I’m trying to prove that you don’t have to be in WWE or AEW to be a successful professional wrestler. But of course the WWE Championship is something I think about every day when I wake up, and that’s definitely always on my mind.
I’d be lying if I said I’m not. I think if you are in this field, being a world champion is the goal you should have. And for me personally, it’s the WWE Championship.
Interestingly, these phrases appear at a time when WWE interested in re-signing Chelsea GreenMatt Cardona’s wife.
