Registration is now open for the 2024 session of the Master Professional in Laboratory Animal Science (MPCAL), offered by the Teaching Coordination of the Institute of Science and Technology in Biomodels (ICTB/Fiocruz). There will be 15 vacant positions available, distributed between the areas of laboratory animal science and barn management. Candidates with higher education, who have 20 hours per week available to devote to the course, can participate in the selection process. Practical lessons will be held in person, while theoretical lessons will be taught remotely, via the Zoom platform, with a specific time specified.
MPCAL is a postgraduate program in the strict sense of the word in Science in Laboratory Animals, recognized and rated at 4 by the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination (Capes/MEC). The course aims to train professionals to understand the ethical and welfare role of scientific and technological knowledge in laboratory animal science.
