Already in February – after a few weeks as an actress in Congress – Green was denied all committee positions because she had previously indicated on social media that Democratic politicians should be executed. More recently, Green compared the face-mask mandate in Congress to the Holocaust. On Tuesday morning, I also published an article that supermarket chain Food City is letting vaccinated employees go without a bandage if they wear the vaccination symbol on the nameplate, according to reports. McCarthy now clarifies that the rest of the Republicans are distancing himself heavily from Green’s language.
Americans must stand together to fight anti-Semitism and every attempt to shrink the history of the Holocaust. Let me be clear: McCarthy wrote that House Republicans condemn this language.
At the same time, he is keen to throw a kick to Democrats and spokesperson Nancy Pelosi after the recent escalation of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.
As the Jewish people suffer from mounting violence and threats, there is more anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party, and they are being completely ignored by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, McCarthy writes.
Pelosi has yet to comment on the McCarthy attack, but was asked Tuesday if Green should be punished or fired from Congress.
