Marchesín is very close to loaning Almeria

The appointment of the Argentine goalkeeper in Almeria who rose to the top.

Augustin Marchesin was appointed Thursday in Almeria by the Spanish press. According to the newspaper “Foz de Almeria”, the Argentine goalkeeper of FC Porto is the main target – the “first choice” as it is written – for the club that rose to the top. An option that is likely to be implemented during this closed season. At the moment there is interest and suggestion, but nothing is 100% closed.

If the transfer is confirmed, Marchesín will be loaned this season to the Spanish club, and the agreement includes a mandatory purchase option if Almeira guarantees league permanence and the goalkeeper makes 70% of the matches. According to journalist Pedro Sepulveda, the loan amount with a purchase option is 1 million euros.

Marchesin, 34, has another season on his contract with FC Porto. Last season he lost the title to Diogo Costa, which is why he only played nine matches.

Signed from America in 2019/20, the goalkeeper made 84 appearances in his first two campaigns with a dragon on his chest.
