Marcel Matz and the defeat against Sporting: “We have to know how to work the high ball” – Volleyball

Benfica lost the final of the second edition of the Iberian Cup, against Sporting (3-1) on Sunday. Marcel Matz, the Reds' coach, has already identified some negative points in his team and admits that the group “have to evaluate the work done here”. “First, we have to know how to deal with the high ball, they were better in that aspect. Knowing when we can decide or work on the coverage, and we had many gaps under that today. So, with the fluctuations on both sides, I think they were the better ones. But now we have a difficult game on Wednesday and there could have been another game (against Guaguas, in the Champions League). We have to evaluate the work, always firmly, we left everything on the pitch but it was not enough.
