Major problems with trains and the subway in the Oslo region on Thursday morning

Signal faults, power problems and controversial switches create major problems for rail transport in and around the capital.

Many passengers were left waiting for trains that did not arrive at the ski station on Thursday morning.

Both trains and the subway are affected.

On Thursday morning, all traffic on the Ostfold railway between Oslo and Ski was closed. It affects train lines L2, L21, L22 and R20.

– There is no electricity between Ski and Holmelya and between Kolbotn and Holmelya, press officer Dag Svenso reported in lane number to Aftenposten.

An Aftenposten employee sits on one of the damaged trains. There, the conductor stated at 08.30 that they had no idea how long it would be before the train could run as normal again.

The power outage occurred around 08.10.

“It will take time”

“We are working to correct the bug, but this will take time. New update at 12.00,” the Bane Nor website states.

Opinion He writes that the trains will run in line and use fewer tracks due to power issues. Several lines have been cancelled, and trains will be replaced by buses.

On Thursday morning several trains were also delayed and modifications were made to Drammenbanen and Askerbanen. The train’s problems here are due to a fault in the signal at Brakerøya lane number on their websites. There have been a number of signal failures in recent weeks.

The regional train between Oslo and Bergen, the regional train between Oslo and Stavanger, Flytoget and local trains L12, L13, R10 and R11 are all affected by the signal error.

Subway delays

There are also significant delays on the Oslo subway due to an error in the exchange bill. Metro reports this itself Twitter.

The error was reportedly corrected at 09.24, but there were still many trains that were late.

The switch failure occurred near Høyenhall station and led to challenges running trains from the carriage hall in Ryen.

Journalist Ostein Dahl-Johansen, Roter’s press keeper, told NTB that there were delays on lines 1, 2, 3 and 4.

– Delays vary greatly. At most, there are delays of up to 30 minutes, but trains run at regular intervals. If you have the chance, you should use an alternate mode of transportation if you’re short on time, says Dahl Johansen.

The real-time system had operational problems for a while, but they were fixed around 7.45am.

– We are working hard to solve all the problems, but we will probably feel it for some time to come. We hope that in the morning all the problems will be corrected and the trains will be late.
