Latitta Cafe is located in a real enchanted forest, in the style of Tim Burton
There is a waterfall, mist and mythical statues spread over two hectares. It really is a scene worthy of a movie.
In July 2018, the province of Chiang Rai in Thailand did not go unnoticed by anyone. For 17 days, the world held its breath and came together several times. the reason? The rescue operation is to save 12 boys, along with their coach, who have ended up trapped in the bottom of a cave under a mountain.
The rescue is not yet complete and it was already there project It is Hollywood to conduct interviews and gather information for a potential fantasy. It ended up for Netflix to move forward with the project and release the series in 2022.
Until then, Tham Luang Cave Kon Nam Nang was a quiet place. But nowadays, the site has become one of the most visited tourist spots in Thailand, and a tented resort is already under construction near its entrance.
However, what few know is that in the same area there is a coffee shop that is also worth a visit. These reasons are much better. Imagine an enchanted forest, home to the typical mythical creatures that adorn temples in Asia until now, with mist and waterfall. This is exactly the scenario at Latitta Café.
What happens when a group of small Chiang Rai entrepreneurs decide to attract more tourists to the area? They are investing in a simply incredible space, inspired by the Himmapan forest, a legendary grove from Hindu mythology.
Whoever sees it from the inside, may consider it vulgar. It’s a nice space, yes, very inviting, and the price of the food isn’t bad either. But it is the path each person must take to get there that leaves everyone intrigued.
The path is built on a two-hectare plot of land, and is decorated with many flowers and statues. The 35-meter-high waterfall adds more fantasy to the scene. Deep down inside, we seem to have entered another world – one that could be part of “Avatar”.
