Benfica started their Champions League campaign well, beating Estrela Vermelha (1-2), but that is already in the past.
This was one of the guarantees that Bruno Lage left on Sunday afternoon, during the press conference that preceded the visit to Boavista.
“It was a good moment, but it's already in the past. About the game, there are three things,” he began.
“After the match with Estrela Vermelha, our focus was on the match with Boavista, a team with great speed and unity. Playing in Bessa was difficult for Benfica. There are no changes in the 'sheet' here for anything, our 'sheet' is just one. We will go into the match to play well and win the three points. Our 'sheet' has to be defined,” he began the discussion.
Remember that the European trip shortened the time spent focusing on the tournament, so the Eagles coach was quick to achieve the goals.
“Our time is short. My attention is on the players and analysing the next match. I want to prolong our good moments in the match. You win the fans over by playing good football, in an attacking and attractive way.”
In this way, Bruno Lage repeated the warning he had left to his disciples.
