Kiev attacked with drones and missiles – killing two people

Kiev, Ukraine (Aftenposten): Local authorities report the strongest attack since spring.

Two people were killed when the Ukrainian capital was hit by a missile strike on Wednesday night.

On Wednesday night, air raid alerts went off across Ukraine.

At dawn, several powerful explosions were heard in the center of the capital. Soon after, local authorities reported that the Air Force was operating.

Two people were killed in the attack. In addition, two injuries have been reported so far, including a 24-year-old girl.

– Kiev has not seen such a strong offensive since the spring, according to Serhiy Popkov.

He is the head of the Civil Military Administration in the capital. In May, Russia sharply escalated its attacks against Kiev.

Almost every night, the townspeople are awakened by explosions, and many civilians are killed. Throughout the summer, it was much quieter in the capital, until Wednesday morning.

The attack took place as Kiev and cities across the country prepare for Russia to intensify its offensives as winter approaches, with the aim of destroying civilian infrastructure.

Reports so far indicate that Russia attacked with drones and missiles throughout the night. Local authorities reported that more than 20 people were shot down. The fallen debris is still causing significant damage, and several fires have broken out in parts of the city.

Odessa was also attacked throughout the night. Local authorities reported several explosions in the southern port city. No injuries or deaths have been reported so far.
