Juventus risk losing nine points already this season after financial irregularities in player transfers. In addition, the Italian club owes Cristiano Ronaldo €19 million.
In court, the Italian Football Association’s Justice Council asked Juventus to deduct nine points and suspend managers Andrea Agnelli (for a period of 16 months), Fabio Paracci (20 months and 10 days) and Federico Cherubini (10 months) for the duration of alleged financial irregularities related to player transfers. The application was made during the second hearing of the trial of the case, in Rome, by Giuseppe Shin, the legal representative of the organisation.
The Italian press also revealed that this operation also includes Sampdoria, Empoli, Genoa, Parma, Pisa, Picara, Pro Vercelli and Novara, suspected of inflating the value of transfers to increase revenue.
According to the newspaper “La Repubblica”, the leader requested the deduction of the nine points already this season, in the event that the investigation concluded that there was tax fraud. Juventus could be the target of another lawsuit soon by Cristiano Ronaldo. Recently, some documents were discovered confirming the undisclosed payment of many players during the covid-19 stoppage. These will not be signed by CR7 and the Portuguese will never receive the announced funds.
In addition, the same source reveals that Juventus owes €19.6 million to Cristiano Ronaldo.
