- Man, 91 years old, with comorbidities. He lived in Jardim Sevilha and died on May 13.
- Man, 89 years old, with comorbidities. He lived in Jardim Pacaembu and died on May 15.
- Man, 90 years old, with comorbidities. He lived in Villa Didi and died on May 24.
- Woman, 76 years old, with comorbidities. She lived in Jardim, California and died on May 25.
According to the epidemiological bulletin issued. The city recorded 21,971 cases of dengue fever, 21,791 of them are indigenous people – when contracting the disease within the municipality -, and 180 imported.
Dengue fever is part of a group of diseases called arboviruses. The virus is transmitted by the bite of the female Aedes aegypti mosquito and has four different serotypes: DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4 – all of which can cause different forms of the disease.
