Joe Jonas responded to the lawsuit filed against him by his ex-wife Sophie Turner. The actress accused him of “detaining” his daughters in the United States and not allowing them to return to their home in the United Kingdom.
In a statement issued by his representative, Joe noted that the process conflicts with the “amicable agreement” they allegedly reached regarding child custody.
“Less than 24 hours later [do momento em que falaram sobre a custódia]Sophie announced that she wants to take the children with her to the UK permanently. Later, during the operation, he asked Joe to hand over their passports so he could get them out of the country immediately.“, says the actor.
He continues, “Joe wants to share custody of the children so that both mum and dad can raise them, and of course there’s no problem with them growing up in the US and UK.”
He still denies that Sophie discovered the beginning of the divorce process through the media, stressing that they had “multiple conversations.”
“When language like ‘kidnapping’ is used, it is at best misleading, and at worst a serious abuse of the legal system.”The actor concluded.
