Portugal international midfielder Joao Palhinha has signed a four-year contract with Bayern Munich, having signed him from English club Fulham, the German football club announced on Thursday, July 1.

About a year ago, the midfielder was very close to strengthening the German “giant”, but failed to complete the deal on the last day of the “market”, due to Fulham's inability to find a replacement.
The 28-year-old, who most recently played for Portugal at Euro 2024, arrived at Fulham in 2022, then from Sporting Lisbon, in a deal that brought a fixed fee of €20m to the Lions.
In his two seasons in the Premier League, Palhinha established himself as one of the London club's most important players, making 79 appearances and scoring eight goals.
