Jenny Katamo is convinced: “We will become champions”

Even before returning to work at Cristiano Ronaldo's academy on Wednesday, Gini Katamu spoke to Antena 1, analyzing Sporting's current season.

“I am happy and proud to be able to represent Sporting. I have been a Sporting fan since I was a child and it was my dream to be there. “We are all satisfied with what we have done so far,” said winger Leonini, also referring to the trust that coach Ruben Amorim has in him.

“Work is what will determine everything. When I come back I have to work very well to gain that confidence to play more matches. All the players have a great relationship with the manager. “The group is united,” he said. It should be noted that Jenny Katamo has already played 21 matches this season, during which he scored two goals and provided two assists.

Asked what his main target would be in 2023/24, the 22-year-old Mozambican international, who was present at the Africa Cup of Nations, set his sights on Marques de Pombal, in May.

“We will become champions,” he predicted.
