In the United States today, it seems almost impossible.

Now there is no such loyalty to federalism among Republicans. The Arizona Republican senator testified as he cried about the family being harassed and threatened with death for months by the Trump crowd after he agreed to the election result. He was hanged as a pedophile in his neighborhood. Surely he blamed Trump for that, however, if Trump goes to the polls next time, he will vote for him again.
Why in the world? The explanation is simple and timeless: money and debt. As long as Low Church Protestants impose restrictions on abortion and gay rights, and the wealthy get tax breaks and deregulation, there is little fascism to live with.
Merrick Garland is sweating Where he sits and follows the sessions. Right now, he may seem doomed to fail no matter what he does. How can he begin investigating Biden’s predecessor, who is also a potential presidential candidate in the upcoming election, without being accused of a political witch-hunt and thus dividing the country? Can he trust that the evidence is good enough for a trial? What if Trump is acquitted?
But perhaps Garland is also considering the judgment of history. What if he didn’t do it when documentation is so cumbersome? The fear of Trump’s followers on the far right is great, but at the same time there is a large majority in the United States that will respond forcefully if Trump runs away. The sessions have a high viewership, and a majority of Republican voters follow the sessions closely or fairly closely. A recent poll showed that as many as 58% now believe Trump should be prosecuted. It is amazingly high.
Republicans may have made a historic mistake by refusing to participate. Thus, sessions were allowed to continue without interruption, fogging and circus. He brought the truth to the table and the facts to the people. It’s been a while since America has tested it, and they’re embracing it.
